Project Summary

A fully content managed website with administrator controlled forum, bespoke AJAX driven multi user chatroom and video streaming. The site was designed to support the bestselling book by Allan Leighton - On Leadership.

The Client

Allan Leighton's illustrious business career has seen him turn around the fortunes of some of the biggest brands in the world, famously changing the fortunes of ASDA from a loss making food retailer into the successful £6.7 billion acquisition of supermarket giant Wallmart.

Currently Chairman of Royal Mail Group; Deputy Chairman of Selfridges & Co, George Weston Ltd and Loblaw Companies Ltd; and Non Executive Director of BSkyB Group plc, Allan also raises money for Breast Cancer Care. Having recently completed the London Marathon his aim is to reach a donation of £1m with all the proceeds from his book going to this most worthwhile of charities.

Project Aims

The site was created to be an interactive "mirror" of the book; the content provided by Allan and the contributors, some of the most successful and well known businessmen and women in the world, as well as close friends of Allan. Utilising the interactivity of the web, the project is a social site for all things leadership, providing its users with a worthwhile resource of information. The site's aims were to:

  • Raise the profile of On Leadership and Breast Cancer Care
  • Interactively engage the user
  • Provide access to some of the most influential business minds in the world
  • Allow users to interact with each others' ideas and opinions
  • Keep users up to date with news and events
